Spanish Debating

  Senior students of Spanish have the opportunity to represent Castleknock Community College in national debating competitions as organised by the Association of Teachers of Spanish of Ireland (ATS). The first round of the Senior Spanish Debating competition took place on Wednesday October 1st in Castleknock College. Awards Ceremonies 2014

On Thursday 15th & Friday 16th May, the College acknowledged the contribution, achievement & successes of students with the hosting of our Annual Summer Award Ceremonies for the First, Second, Third & LC1 Year Groups. EUSO Silver Medalist

Congratulations to Niamh O’Neill, Transition Year student, who was a member of the Irish team  which won a silver medal in the European Union Science Olympiad.  Niamh was selected as the chemistry specialist on the team, after winning a silver medal at the Irish EUSO in October. This qualified her to participate in Round 2 in DCU in March. A wonderful achievement Niamh!

  La BBVA Ruta Quetzal “A JOURNEY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE SEEKING TO BUILD A BETTER FUTURE” This is an initiative set up by the journalist and adventurer Miguel de la Quadra Salcedo with the backing of the King of Spain to foster cultural exchange between Ibero-American Spanish speaking countries including  Brazil and Portugal. Sports’ Hall Extension

The College Community was delighted to welcome the building team on site on Wednesday 9th April to commence construction of our long awaited Sports’ Hall and replacement Classrooms. It is estimated that the build will take twelve months to complete and it is expected that students and staff will be able to access the new facilities in September 2015.  Congratulations once again to all who campaigned to ensure that this project was finally delivered.
