Five CCC speakers were amongst those participating in the Leinster Final of the Matheson Junior National Mace on January 31st who have qualified for the National Final to be held in Blackrock College on March 21st. Speakers from the College Debating Society have enjoyed considerable success in a number of Mace Competitions so far this year. The second year class representatives with their Mentors made contact with Team Hope and organised a Shoe Box Appeal for poor children in Eastern Europe and Africa. The response from the Second Year Group exceeded our expectations with all 210 students contributing to the project. This project was launched and completed over a three week period.
