Cologne Trip 2015

Whilst many students spent their February midterm catching up on much needed sleep, a brave group of LC1 students met outside CCC at 4:30 in the morning for the eagerly anticipated trip to Brussels and Cologne. Five CCC speakers were amongst those participating in the Leinster Final of the Matheson Junior National Mace on January 31st who have qualified for the National Final to be held in Blackrock College on March 21st. CCC Debating Society

Speakers from the College Debating Society have enjoyed considerable success in a number of Mace Competitions so far this year. The Society hosted its own annual CCC Junior Mace as part of the Matheson National Junior Mace Competition on November 8th. Shoe Box Appeal 2014

The second year class representatives with their Mentors made contact with Team Hope and organised a Shoe Box Appeal for poor children in Eastern Europe and Africa. The response from the Second Year Group exceeded our expectations with all 210 students contributing to the project. This project was launched and completed over a three week period. Spanish Debating

  Senior students of Spanish have the opportunity to represent Castleknock Community College in national debating competitions as organised by the Association of Teachers of Spanish of Ireland (ATS). The first round of the Senior Spanish Debating competition took place on Wednesday October 1st in Castleknock College.
